Help Age UK Isle of Wight make a difference to an Isolated Island resident this Christmas
Last year rather than the office ‘Secret Santa’, staff at Age UK Isle of Wight decided that more worthwhile gifts could be given.
Using the money that we would have spent buying our colleagues gifts, we instead purchased presents for nominated clients in the hopes of bringing them some Christmas cheer.
We had hoped that this year we could spread even more Christmas Cheer and be able to reach more older Islanders by opening this appeal to the public with gift donation drop off stations around the Island etc but unfortunately it seems that Covid had other plans.
So having a rethink, rather than asking for donations of gifts, we are instead asking for monetary donations that would enable Age UK Isle of Wight to purchase sealed gifts packed with minimal contact, sealed with a Covid safe sticker, after being left for a minimum of 4 days before being delivered by our staff and support workers.
We are hoping that other local businesses will consider donating their office Secret Santa money to instead spread some Island cheer to those Isolated too!
